Perfect Brightness of Hope (Phil Simkins)

Why I have this book: I've seen it around and it looked interesting. I waited until it was available on Kindle, then I bought it.

This is written by an LDS alcoholic. He was a respected and admired professional seminary teacher early in his adult life, a husband and father... and he lost it all and more as his alcoholism and other addictions began to control his life.

I found his story compelling and heartwrenching. Anyone with a desire for compassion and understanding should read it.

Clean... although, it IS a book about addiction and all the consequences it brings.
