I am Delilah (Josi S. Kilpack)

Why I have this book: I am a fan of the author, and when she bought the rights to her earliest books so she could republish them in ebook form, I said, "Yay!"

This turned out to be a cute story, not so predictable as it seemed when it started out. I was a little worried at first that I would be disappointed, but it all turned out to be a really great light read. I enjoyed it a lot.

I wanted to do a little bit of editing, but not too much. (I finally learned the "lay, lie, laid, lain, etc. rules and lo and behold, it came up in this book! And I caught it! And I cringed - just like my friend/teacher told me I would once I got it down! Woot!)

All in all, another thumbs up for Josi. I am looking forward to her other early books be re-released in Kindle form.

Why the Sky is Blue (Susan Meissner)

Why I have this book: I enjoyed Secrets of a Charmed Life so much that I put some of the author's other books on hold at the ebook library.

I liked this one okay. It wasn't on the same level as Secrets... but it kept my interest. It was just such a emotional subject that it should have invoked more emotion as I read it. It just didn't dig deep enough into each person's story, in my opinion. There could have been so much more.

Clean, although it deals with both rape and death.

The Hypnotist's Love Story (Liane Moriarty)

Why I have this book: Because I have liked all the books I've read that were written by this author. I borrowed it from the ebook library.

Another winner! Could hardly get my nose of out it. I like the way she writes... it's so detailed (by not in a boring way) about the things we all see and think and notice (sometimes subconsciously). She puts into words all the things that make being human a universal thing. Maybe if you've read her books, you understand what I mean.

If you're the type who can skip over her use of profanity, I highly recommend her books.

I was happy that this book had less profanity than her other books. It was still there, but not in as overwhelming an amount. Marriage isn't a necessity for sexual relations in her stories, nor for having children, which seems to be pretty common in the Australian and British cultures. (Although to be fair, I guess it's pretty common in America, as well... just not so much in my circle.)

Secrets of a Charmed Life (Susan Meissner)

Why I have this book: A friend recommended it to me, and since it was only available as an audio book at the library, I bought it for my Kindle.

I LOVED this book. Loved it. It's one of those stories that just sinks down into your soul.

I will definitely be looking for more books by this author.

Bonus! This book was very clean. I can't even remember one swear word, and although you know a couple of characters have sexual relations outside of marriage, it's not glorified or described at all.
