Why I have this book: I borrowed it from the ebook library.
I really enjoyed this book quite a bit. Susan Meissner sure knows how to cover a lot of different topics/time periods/locations in her various books. She isn't stuck in one pattern as a writer, and that impresses me. This one is set in Italy, and although it kind of skips from one generation to another, it's doesn't bog you down. I appreciated that.
A quote I need to remember from this book: "Shut your eyes to the world of pain, and you also shut your eyes to the world of delight."
I gave it four stars on Goodreads.
Clean. I don't think I even remember any swearing. There is some vague description of domestic violence.
